Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister’s Office Tofajjal Hussain Miya said on Saturday that the government has taken several measures to protect the environment from tannery pollutants, BSS reports.
“As the tannery industry pollutes the environment, the government has taken steps in such a way that the environment and this industry can be saved,” he said after visiting the tannery industrial units in the BSIC industrial area of Haridhara in Savar.
