Time to submit income tax return is extended up to 7 October. Despite several warnings from the government that the time for the submission of Tax returns will remain unchanged and that was 30 September 2010. But, a large number of returns have not been submitted within the time allowed. Besides, the business associations requested to extend the time earlier.
However, on application the time can further be extended as per jurisdiction of the Deputy Commissioner of Taxes.
