Trader Monir Hussain returned home at 2 pm on Saturday after closing his shop located on the third floor of Dhaka New Super Market in the capital. However, they came to know in the early hours of Saturday that the market had caught fire. He immediately reached the market and found a fire burning on the third floor of the market. Seeing the fierce fire, he started crying bitterly.
Speaking to Prothom Alo, Monir Hussain said, “My shop has been gutted in the fire. My dream has come true.”
He said that his shop is on the third floor of New Super Market, next to Adita Fashion. “I bought goods worth 500,000 taka two days ago. My shop was burnt down.”
