Metrorail service has been suspended from 9:30 am on Wednesday due to a “technical fault”.

Several people were seen waiting in queue to buy tickets at Uttara North (Diyabari) station. But the sale of tickets stopped.

DMTCL Director (Operations) Nasir Uddin informed Prothom Alo that he suspects that something has fallen on the power line, causing disruption in power operations. He said his workers were walking along the railway tracks to find out the problem. Nasir Uddin said the service would resume once the problem was identified and rectified.
