Mushfiqur Rahim and Taijul Islam received rewards for their stellar performances in the one-off Test against Ireland as both reached their career-best positions in the ICC Test batsman and bowler rankings respectively.
Mushfiq had scored a century in the first innings and 51 not out in the second innings of the Dhaka Test, while Taijul claimed a five-wicket haul in the first innings and four in the second innings to finish with match figures of 9–148. His performance helped Bangladesh win the match by seven wickets.
