Musk says he will step down as Twitter CEO after finding a replacement

Elon Musk said Tuesday that he would step down as chief executive officer of Twitter after finding a replacement.

Musk wrote on Twitter, “As soon as I see a fool who can take the job, I will resign as CEO. After that, I will just run the software and server teams.”

It is the first time Musk has mentioned stepping down as head of the social media platform, after Twitter users voted decisively to step down in a poll the billionaire launched on Sunday evening.
