RAB (Rapid Action Battalion) has arrested a man from the capital after allegation from late writer Humayun Ahmed’s wife Meher Afroze Shaon. A facebook page was created about three months ago which was uploading family photos of Shaon and others. This page was also talking against Shaon.
Meher Afroze Shaon alleged that she was threatened to kill from the page. This page is also trying to defame her by running negative propaganda against her.
Till date more than fourteen hundred facebook users have liked that page. There are three acts in Bangladesh to prevent cyber crime; Telecommunication Regulatory Act 2001, ICT act 2006 and Pornography act 2012.
The detained man is a doctor and it’s not clear that he will be sued under which law.
