Mushfiq then shared a 25-run partnership with Taijul Islam (nine from 13 balls), which ended due to the leg before wicket of Josh Little in the penultimate over.

Shoriful Islam (four off three balls) eased the pressure with a four off his first ball to leave five runs for Bangladesh in the final over with Mushfiq on strike.

In the final over, fast bowler Mark Adair bowled two dot balls before bowling a full toss which Mushfiq hit straight to the fielder at the boundary.

But luck was on Mushfiq’s and Bangladesh’s side as the third umpire rightly declared that the full toss was a no ball due to over-waste, with Mushfiq’s free hit costing Bangladesh four runs from four balls.
