After months of pandemic closure, with two action films Tenet and Mulan, all branches of Star Cineplex reopens today. Bangladesh’s government imposed a virtual lockdown in March. Transport services, shopping malls, industries, financial institutes, and many other sectors reopened gradually. But movie theaters were closed until 15th October.
Despite the Covid-19 pandemic, people have been gathering in movie theaters in many parts of the world. Bangladeshi movie lovers will be able to go to world-class theaters in the capital from today.
Star Cineplex authority has informed that they will follow strict health guidelines issued by the Bangladesh government and World Health Organization (WHO). Only 40 percent of the total seat capacity will be available. One meter distancing will be insured.
Cineplex authority is encouraging online ticketing and cashless payment to minimize the risk of spreading coronavirus. The authority has pledged to ensure better cleaning arrangements.
