Shakeel and Rocky, residents of Monoharpur village in Kaliganj upazila, were going to Jhenaidah Sadar on a motorcycle at around 8 a.m. when a brick-laden truck coming from the opposite direction hit their vehicle on the Jhenaidah-Jashore highway at Koyargachhi. According to Barobazar Highway Police station chief Manjurul Alam, both the people died on the spot.
Meanwhile, Tushar Biswas was injured in a head-on collision between a motorcycle and a bus operated by Golden Line Paribhan at Murotala around 10 am, Shailkupa police station chief Mohammad Aminul Islam said.
