Consumer goods giant Unilever on Monday appointed Hein Schumacher as its new chief executive officer, replacing Alan Jopp with effect from July 1.
Schumacher, 51, joined Unilever as a non-executive director in October last year and currently heads Dutch dairy business FrieslandCampina.
The London-based company said in September that CEO Jopp planned to retire at the end of 2023.
