US-based media company Variety has named Bangladeshi director Nuhash Humayun’s short film “Moshri” as the front runner to win the Academy Award in the “Best Live Action Shorts” category at next year’s Oscars.
Variety’s official website has a list of nominees and potential winners for each category for next year’s Oscars, which they update weekly.
Following the latest update, Variety predicts that ‘Moshri’ could become the first Bangladeshi production to win an Oscar when the 95th edition of the prestigious award ceremony takes place in March next year.
