After some repair works 47 new rail carriages will be added to different trains before the holy Eid-ul-Fitr, the biggest Muslim festival. Workers of railway Sayedpur workshop saying they will be able to handover these 47 carriages within the first two weeks of Ramadan. Divisional supervisor informed this on behalf of the workers, he also said the workers are working hard to complete the work in due time. The workers are sympathetic to see the sufferings of the home goers on Eid-ul-Fitr.
But perhaps main problem is many likes to travel without ticket. In many cases railway officials find it difficult to check everyone’s ticket on a jam-packed train. Some travelers take this advantage, they travel without ticket. Few years ago I was coming to Dhaka by train after the Eid. The train was jam-packed, six fiends were coming, and during my travel I understood from their conversation that they had only two tickets. They confused the ticket checkers with those two tickets.
During the Eid they travel by train because they want to travel at free of cost which brings suffering for the ticket holders.
