Nine people died due to dengue in the last 24 hours till 8 am on Friday, taking the death toll to 1,064. The new deaths took the death toll to 75 in the first six days of the current month.
Additionally, a total of 1,800 people suffering from mosquito-borne viral fever have been hospitalized during this period, according to the health directorate.
