As part of the central programme, BNP leaders and workers tried to reach the party office at Alaipur in the city at around 2 pm.
Abul Bepari alleged that BNP workers were attacked from an AL procession near NESCO office and Awami League men stabbed him and vandalized his motorcycle.
Police brought the situation under control.
