The new cabinet was formed under Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on 11 January following the 12th Parliament elections on 7 January. The Cabinet consists of 37 members including the Prime Minister. Of them, 25 were given ministerial posts and 11 were given ministers of state.
Obaidul Qadir told journalists that the Prime Minister can tell whether the cabinet will be expanded or not. But ministers can be appointed to ministries like labor and employment and cultural affairs.
