Unidentified miscreants detonated four crude bombs outside the polling station of the by-election of Chapainwabganj-3 constituency, due to which polling was suspended for about 45 minutes.
The incident took place on Wednesday at Krishnagobindapur Girls High School in Ranihati Union of the upazila, triggering panic among voters.
AKM Alamgir Jahan, chief of the local police station, said that no one was injured in the blasts that took place around 2 pm.
At 2:45 pm, the presiding officer at the center said that things have returned to normal and polling has resumed.
