Addressing the rally, he said, “It is a lie that there is no money in the banks.”

He blamed the BNP for spreading “rumours” about the economy.
In an immediate statement on 13 November, Bangladesh Bank dismissed social media posts advising people to withdraw their deposits from banks as “conspiratorial” and assured members of the public that banks in the country would Not facing liquidity crisis.
Bangladesh Bank said, ‘Conspiracy is being hatched on social media to withdraw money from banks.’
“Bangladesh’s banking system is in a strong position. There is no liquidity crisis in the banking system.”
