Mizanul Islam, media adviser to Kabir Group, the ship's owner, told Prothom Alo that the crew were safe and well. The ship is running out of food. Still, there is no need to worry as the pirates are bringing food from the shore.

hope for early talks

The ownership company is in regular talks with the pirates and is optimistic about a quick resolution. “Our efforts are ongoing to quickly negotiate with the pirates and bring the crew to safety,” Mizanul Islam said.
