Inauguration of Sahid Miner (Monument for martyrs for Bengali Language in 1951) in Italy.

In order to pay homage to the Martyrs for Bengali language a Sahid Minar (Monument for martyrs for Bengali Language in 1951) is placed permanently in the port city of Bari (the Capital of the Puglia region of Italy) on the bank of Adriatic Sea. Today is the formal inauguration of this Shid Minar . It was known that it will be inaugurated by Deputy Speaker of the parliament colonel (Ret.) Shawkat Ali accompanied by the ambassador from Bangladesh in Italy.

A cultural ceremony is also organized in this regard in a park. Singers of the program are: Fakir Alamgir, Kumar Bishajit, Nishita Barua, Ronty Das. The representatives left Dhaka for Italy in yesterday morning.

The Municipal administration of Barry city permitted for the construction of this permanent Monument.
