Bangladesh bank is going to introduce metal coin of value Taka 2 from tomorrow (Tuesday), with the picture of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Initially the introduction will be from Motijheel branch, gradually, these coins will be issued from other local offices.
According to the central bank, this new stainless steel coin is of 5and a half gram and 24 mm in diameter and rounded
It should be noted here that after the joining of Dr. Atiur Rahman as the governor of central bank, 100 Taka note and a coin of value of one Taka have been introduced with his signature.
