Apart from attacks on houses, more than 18 incidents of targeting BNP and Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami leaders and workers have been reported in Rajshahi, Natore and Naugaon in the last two months. One person has died in such attacks. However, the police are yet to trace the people behind those attacks.

In most cases the attackers cover their faces with masks, while in some cases they only wear helmets but do not cover their faces. In some cases they flee the scene after detonating crude bombs.

For example, the house of Abu Mohammad Masoom, former vice president of the Narayanganj district unit of the Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal, the student wing of the BNP, was attacked three times. This house is near Rupganj Police Station in Narayanganj. On the morning of 1 November, “BCL leaders and workers” threw pieces of brick at the house of Abu Mohammad Masoom. Due to this his family members got scared.
