Harunur Rashid Khan, chairman of Shibpur Upazila in Narsingdi, was injured in a bullet injury at his residence in the early hours of Saturday.
The incident took place around 6.15 am when he opened the front door to welcome the three men. Family members said that one of the visitors pulled out a pistol and shot her twice.
