Thousands gather for Akheri Munajat, marking Ijtema closure.

The 57th Vishwa Ijtema, the supreme gathering of the Muslim faithful, is set to conclude its second phase today, Sunday, 11 February 2024, with Akhari Munajaat prayers on the banks of river Turag.

Nearly 8,000 foreigners from 62 countries attended this important event, demonstrating a remarkable global unity in faith.

According to Mohammed Sayem, media coordinator of the Ijtema, under the guidance of Maulana Yusuf, son of eminent Indian religious leader Maulana Muhammad Saad Kandhalvi, the prayers are scheduled from 10 am to 11 am.

The ceremony is not only a spiritual summit but also a display of international Muslim solidarity, with participants enthusiastically seeking divine mercy and global peace.
