The traditional ‘Lila Kirtan’, a religious festival, was held amidst festivity at Ramakrishna Sewa Ashram Pabna on Friday night. As every year, Ramakrishna Sewa Ashram organised the traditional festival on a grand scale.
“Ramakrishna Sewa Ashram organises the traditional event to spread peace and joy among mankind. Hindu devotees from different areas of the district enjoyed the performance throughout the night,” said Binoy Jyoti Kundu, secretary of district Puja Udzapan Committee and head of the Ashram.
Minister of State for Home Shamsul Haque Tuku spoke as the chief guest on the occasion while the lawmaker from Pabna-5 constituency, Golam Faruk Khandaker, spoke as the special guest.
Shamsul Haque Tuku said that Bengali people were known for safeguarding communal harmony. Consequently, not just Hindus but people from all religions partake of the lila kirtan and other such festivals
