US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Donald Trump is scheduled to arrive in Dhaka on Tuesday on a two-day visit.
On the second day of his visit, Lu will hold a bilateral meeting with Foreign Secretary Masoud bin Momen. Later, he will pay a courtesy call on Foreign Minister Hassan Mahmood and Prime Minister's Private Industry and Investment Adviser Salman F Rahman.
Responding to a question on Rohingya repatriation, the External Affairs Minister said Dhaka wants to start Rohingya repatriation as Myanmar's internal conflict cannot be an excuse to delay the repatriation process.
However, he said that it is true that the current situation in Arakan creates obstacles for repatriation to some extent, but conflict always remains in Myanmar.
