BASIS Soft Expo 2010: The largest software fair of Bangladesh is starting at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre from February 10. This fair is organized by Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS). The official announcement of the fair was inaugurated by BASIS President Habibullah N Karim in a press conference at Hotel Sonargaon on February 6th. The theme of SoftExpo 2010 is “Digital Bangladesh in Action.” GrameenPhone is the Platinum sponsosr and Reeve System is the Gold sponsor. Total of 150 stalls and more than 200 institutes are participating in the fair from home and abroad. Multinational Software vendor, ICT company, International ICT Association, local software development farms, successful ICT projects of International and local institutes, and Government E-Governance projects will be there as well.
This 5-day long fair will continue till February 14th from 10 AM to 8PM. The entry fee is BDT 20. But the students can enter the fair free on the condition of showing valid ID cards within 5PM.
