However, imports of goods from various countries into India have decreased. India has imported products worth US$ 560 billion in the first ten months of its current financial year, compared to US$ 601.47 billion at the same time in the last financial year. According to India's Ministry of Commerce and Industry, their imports have declined by 7 percent.
Speaking to Prothom Alo, Commerce Secretary Tapan Kanti Ghosh said, “There has been a decline in exports of our products to many countries. We will hold meetings with BGMEA and other concerned bodies to check whether the decline in exports is as a result of this, or there are some other reasons.'
