US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller said that Russia, a country that has invaded two of its neighbors, should not be talking about another country imposing a dictatorship.
At a routine briefing at the State Department on Monday, the US official made the comment in response to a question that Moscow would block any attempts by the US to establish a dictatorship and interfere in the region.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, who is on a visit to Bangladesh ahead of attending the G20 meeting in New Delhi, said Moscow will stop any attempt by the US to establish dictatorship and interfere in the region.
During the briefing, a journalist asked what is America’s response and what is its position on the Indo-Pacific strategy?
Miller said, “I would say with respect to Russia, a country that has invaded two of its neighbors, is waging an aggressive war where it is bombing schools and hospitals and apartment buildings on a daily basis, no other country. Shouldn’t be talked about.” Directs.”
The US official also said that to be fair – it is not the most self-aware comment Sergei Lavrov has ever made.
“But I would say with respect to United States policy that the United States and Bangladesh share a vision to ensure that the Indo-Pacific region is free and open, connected, prosperous, secure and resilient. That is our India’s intention This is the Pacific strategy and this is our position.” Miller noted
