Terminal adjacent to Bangladesh border ignoring international law

Indian authority is building a new export – import terminal in Petrapole which is adjacent to Bangladesh border. According to international law, a minimum distance should be maintained. Indian authority is also building an electric crematorium at Laxmipur zero point.

Bangladesh border guards are not happy with this. A five member border guard delegation has visited India, they also visited disputed terminal site with their counterparts.

The Indian border guard officials have said that they will not do anything which is against the international law.

A joint team of Bangladeshi and Indian border guards also visited Laxmipur point where the Indians have attempted to make an electric crematorium.

Indian and Bangladeshi border guard officials also exchanged their views on various issues including border killings, women and children trafficking and maintaining good relationship between the members of these two forces.
