Sharing this backstory during a master-class held at the British Council as part of the European Film Festival yesterday, Shaniwar Piplu said, “I have created the story at the expense of the memory of my adolescence. The story is fake, but the sentiment is real.”

In the words of Piplu R Khan, “It is not that as a storyteller you have to know everything. You need to be able to demonstrate and visualize it. You have to create stories based on what happens in your life, what you eat or what you see. There will be fabrications in the story, but what matters is how true your portrayal is.”
