A group of teachers registered under the non-governmental Teachers Registration and Certification Authority has launched a protest demanding job appointments, disrupting traffic at Shahbagh Square in Dhaka.
According to Amir Hussain, a representative of the group, NTRCA certificate holders have been protesting for a long time demanding panel-based appointments.
He said that there are 40,000 NTRCA certificate holders in Bangladesh who have been denied appointments despite 90,000 vacancies for teachers.
