Mohammad Ali Chowdhury, the former manager of the Shantinagar branch of Basic Bank, has filed a petition in the High Court after failing to secure bail in a trial court in separate cases of embezzlement of funds in the state-owned Basic Bank. Rather, there are instances of harassment and sacking of officers who have successfully conducted investigations.”
