More awareness can prevent of the outbreak anthrax, speakers said in workshop yesterday in Joypurhat. Upazila livestock office organized the daylong workshop for prevention of anthrax in upazila parishad auditorium of the district.
With UNO of Sadar upazila Shova Shahnaj in the chair, the workshop was addressed, among other, by Upazila Parishad Chairman Abbas Ali Mondal, District Livestock Officer Dr. Anil Kumar Pal, vice-chairmen of upazila parishad Tetas Mostafa and Asma Begum, Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Mozammel Hossain and Upazila Livestock Officer Dr. Rustam Ali.
The district livestock officer told the workshop the overall anthrax situation in the district was under control.
