Ph.D. degree of a university teacher is withdrawn by the authority. This unusual incident took place in Dhaka University, the oldest and largest university of Bangladesh. The accused Mohammad Noor Uddin Alo is a lecturer of political science department of the university. This decision was taken from a syndicate meeting of the university yesterday. It was proved that the teacher submitted false, imaginary and unrealistic thesis paper as Ph.D. thesis.
An enquiry committee and academic council recommended for withdrawal of the Ph.D. degree.
Professor Shwakat Ara Hossain of the same department was the supervisor of his thesis work. Professor Abdul Manna of Government and Politics department from Jahangirnagar University, Moksudur Rahman of Political Science department from Rajshahi University was in the assessment committee.
