Jagannath University (JNU) authorities on Saturday ordered those concerned to suspend and immediately arrest a classmate facing charges following the suicide of a female student, Fairuz Abantika, at her home in Cumilla.
Furthermore, the assistant proctor, who is accused of instigating the accused student, was suspended and removed from the proctorial body. According to a press release sent by the university to the media around 5 am on Saturday, the JNU administration also constituted a five-member high-powered committee to investigate the incident.
