Bollywood Super Star Mithun Chakrabarti recently acted in a Bangladeshi film named ‘Golapi ekhon Bilate (Golapi is now at London)’. Mithun was working for a Mumbai Film named ‘Spaghetti 427’ in southern India. He talked about the feelings about acting in Bangladeshi film and encountered some questions. Mithun’s exclusive interview is given below:
Question 1: You have acted in Golapi Ekhon Bilate and the film is going to be played in Cinema hall immediately. How did you feel by acting in Dhaka Film?
Mithun Chakrabarti: I have worked several times in Bangladeshi Film before this time. Therefore, I have enough concepts about Bangladeshi Film. East Bengal and West Bengal, both are similar to me. You will surely find your soul there, where you find your same language.
When producer Amzad Hossain told me about the story of Golapi Ekhon Bilate, I got interested. Amzad also did two different movies about Golapi. He is a very intelligent producer. His concept is very good. It is time to see how people take this film.
Question 2: A big number of shot of this film were shot in London. You were accompanied with Bangladeshi film stars Moushumi, Shabnur and Ferdous. How have they performed?
Mithun Chakrabarti: See, when Moushumi first came into the film industry I came to know about her very early of her carrier. Then I wanted to take her to Mumbai. In this way, Mumbai’s producers also contacted with Moushumi. But she did not want to go Mumbai by leaving Bangladeshi film. In fact she did not take the risk. I thought she might have done well in Mumbai film too. I don’t know whether Moushumi disclosed this information to you or not. In this time when I acted with Moushumi, I have seen that she is an impossible talented artist. Really, she did a mistake not going Mumbai in her early carrier.
Ferdous acts in very simple way. He has already made a strong position in Kolkata. His acting attracts me as well. Other way, Shabnur is a totally extra ordinary actress. I am totally attracted with her acting.
Question 3: What are you busy with now a day?
Mithun Chakrabarti: Whatever I do I feel myself that my first identity is I am an artist. Whether it is in Mumbai or Bengal I act. I even perform in India’s other languages as well. Whenever I get a good story I feel interest to perform.
