Recently 3G licenses have been awarded to private telephone operators. Thus Bangladesh enters into the world of 3G network. It was a long cherished dream of every one. Though, government owned Teletalk already broadcasting on an experimental basis in 3G. Now private operators are allowed to transmit in 3G.
3G allows transmitting high speed data that includes video calling, high speeding internet. Now smart phones are available and these allow 3G technology enabled services to be used at fingertips.
It should be noted here that this 3G technology is introduced in Bangladesh after ten years of first introduction in Japan. Neighbouring country like India has been using this technology from several years ago.
