Najmul’s father Yar Chan said he had no information about his son’s return from Dubai. Sultan Miya’s men came to her one day in a microbus and two motorcycles when they first learned that her son was in Bangladesh.
“They said, your son has our gold, return it. I was surprised to hear from him. I told them that my son is in Dubai. Then he showed me a video in which two gold bars and nine gold bangles were being given to my son.”
Yar Chan said, the police had also come to his house with the Sultan’s men. Later the police arrested Najmul from Manikganj Sadar. Nazmul and Amir are arrested and tortured to recover the gold bars.
Later the matter was settled in the police station for Rs 12 lakh.
Former Inspector General of Police Noor Mohammad told Pratham Aalo that those police officers violated the rules for personal gain. Action should be taken against them to maintain discipline in the police force.
