Another newborn is stolen from pediatric ward of Dhaka Medical College Hospital. Hospital authority has formed a four member inquiry committee in this regard. Newborn stealing has become a regular incident in this hospital.
Mohammad Khokan admitted his pregnant wife Shefali Begum of twenty two on last Wednesday and a female child was born on next day. The infant was taken to incubator for respiratory condition. Father of the infant went out to bring money from his sister in law to buy medicine and after coming back he noticed that his baby is not there.
Intern doctor Shuprivat is being interrogated. Director of the hospital said according to the record the newborn was not admitted in that ward. Father of the infant took away the newborn after the infant was examined by the doctor. But the authority is investigating the matter as a complaint is raised.
