Water ambulance.

Bangladesh is a land of rivers, communication have been water based. In recent days road communications have improved a lot. But still there is many part of Bangladesh where people is dependent on water transportation.

Noonertek is a river island area of Sonargoan Upazila of Narayangonj district where still old fashioned communication is used. A water ambulance has formally started its service there yesterday.

This six lakh taka ambulance is financed by local people; upazila authority will bear its operating cost.

It will serve about 14 thousand people of different villages there. Three male and three female health workers have appointed who will give free primary health care service and health service to pregnant women.
