Some police men were injured in Rajshahi yesterday when they were attacked by locals. This incident took place near radio broadcasting tower in front of the Rajshahi University.
Rajshahi metropolitan police sources said, about six people attacked constable Sharif when he was going to the camp to discharge his duty around 2:00 am.
More policemen were injured by locals when they conducted a raid at Dharampur area after the incident. Police arrested about thirty people from there.
Constable Sharif suffered at least seven stab injuries in his chest, he was taken to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH) and then he was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) as his condition deteriorated.
Police is suspecting student wing of opposition party Jamaat e Islami for these attacks.
