A full-fledged cyber centre was launched for teachers and students of Rangpur Carmichael College (RCC) here yesterday.
Principal of RCC Prof Abdul Wadud formally inaugurated the cyber centre equipped with 30 computers provided by the government at a ceremony arranged on the occasion as the chief guest.
The government through Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC) set up the centre as a part of the ongoing national programme of bringing the country’s universities, colleges and institutions under Internet communication networks.
The students and teachers of the RCC will now be able to use the cyber centre and its all information and communication technology, Internet and digitized facilities from 9am to 5pm everyday.
Vice principal of RCC Prof Syeda Sahara Ferdous, secretary of the RCC Teachers’ Association Abdur Razzaque, director of the Cyber Centre Borhan Uddin, teachers and students of different departments were present in the launching ceremony.
