Discussion on Eve teasing held at Mymensingh

A discussion on prevention of eve teaching was held in the auditorium of Chorkhi Islamia Fazil Madrasa in Sadar upazila of the district on Wednesday.

Former Principal of Mymensingh Medical College Dr. Mirza Hamidul Haque presided over the meeting. President of Motor Owners Association Md. Momtazuddin Sarker was present in the discussion as the chief guest.

The discussion was addressed, among others, by assistant superintendent of police (ASP) Md. Sobhan, freedom fighters Nurul Islam, Kazi Manzur Morshed and Mirza Lutful Kabir.

Speakers at the discussion said the menace of eve teasing now assumed a dangerous shape in society. They stressed the need for creating mass awareness about the social curse.

The speakers also urged the younger generation, including the students of schools, college and madrasa, to raise their voice against the eve teasing.

The discussion over, a rally was brought out from the meeting venue. A cross section people participated in the rally.
