Election Commission believes 7-8 percent voting took place in the first two hours

In the first phase of Upazila Parishad elections, the voting percentage was low in the first two hours. During this period, 7-8 percent voting took place. The Election Commission (EC) did not receive any report of violence in the first two hours of voting.

EC Additional Secretary Ashok Kumar Debnath gave this information to journalists at around 11 am today.

He said, “Voting is going on peacefully everywhere. Ashok Debnath told reporters, “We have not yet received any information of violence or major irregularities anywhere.”
