Prime minister urges to make the world a peaceful dwelling place for the future generation. She on delivered her speech on 65th UN General Assembly session on Sunday at 3 am Bangladesh time. She also requested for grants for the protection of Global warming and requested to make Bengali as one of the languages of UN.
She delivered her speech in Bengali for the two consecutive years, following her father’s example. Her father delivered his speech in Bengali in 1974. In her speech she also said that today, Bangladesh is then Progressive and Democratic state and actively participating country of UN and a responsible member. Bangladesh is cooperating in all the initiatives taken by the UN. She also mentioned about the International offence tribunal which is compatible to Rome convention.
