PSG Digest Mbappe ready to say goodbye as Champions League exit

Kylian Mbappe is set to play his last game for Paris Saint-Germain at the Parc des Princes when they host Toulouse on Sunday, their first since their Champions League exit.

PSG's quest for elusive European glory will continue for another year after losing to Borussia Dortmund in the semi-finals, a 1-0 defeat in the second leg at home on Tuesday followed by a surprising 2-0 aggregate defeat.

It means Mbappe will not get the expected farewell in the Champions League final at Wembley on June 1 and will end his seven-year tenure at PSG without winning Europe's elite club competition.

Mbappe privately informed PSG in February of his intention to depart when his contract expired at the end of the current campaign.

Although the 25-year-old has never said much publicly, there has been little confirmation as to where he is headed next, but it seems certain that he is bound for Real Madrid.

Meanwhile, Mbappe and his current club will be hoping to finish the season on a high note, with PSG still capable of completing a clean sweep of domestic honours.

They have already secured the Ligue 1 title, their 10th in the last 12 seasons, and will lift the trophy after Sunday's game against mid-table Toulouse, which will be their last title of the campaign on home soil.
