The IPL is going to be held again and Kolkata Knight Riders(KKR) bought the all-rounder Sakib al Hasan for $4, 25,000 (nearly Tk 3 crore), outbidding newcomers Pune at the auction, held in Bangalore on Saturday.
He became third time lucky at the Indian Premier League(IPL) auction as he has got a franchise finally showing some interest in him.
Opener Tamim Iqbal, the only other Bangladeshi player auctioned on the first day of the two-day event, however, remained unsold.
Sakib al Hasan expressed his happiness as KKR selected him and said that he would do his best if he gets the chance.
