A spokesman for the provincial governor said a Taliban member was killed and 10 people were wounded, including three civilians.

Thousands of people cross the border between Spin Boldak, Afghanistan, and Chaman, Pakistan daily, including traders, Afghans seeking medical treatment in Pakistan, and people visiting relatives.

Fida Muhammad, who was injured on the Pakistani side of the crossing, said, “A mortar shell hit and there was a big ball of fire. After that I lost consciousness and don’t know what happened.”
