As a result, gas-fired power stations in Chittagong, Meghnaghat, Haripur and Siddhirganj regions will remain out of operation or will be partially closed.

MD Kausar Amir Ali, Managing Director, Dhaka Power Supply Company (DESCO), said that the areas under their jurisdiction in Dhaka city experienced around 347 MW against the demand of 1157 MW at 11:00 am on Saturday.
The supply was 819 MW, he said.
Vikas Dewan, managing director of the Dhaka Power Distribution Company (DPDC), said the areas under his company had to rely on 350-380 MW during the day.
He told UNB that the level of load shedding could be even higher after evening on Saturday.
